Piano Sculptures

Pianos and other musical instruments have been in my life forever. I’ve played them, I’ve taught them, I’ve drawn them, and now I’ve sculpted them - telling my life story with them. It could be said that this has been a collision of an instrumental musician’s joys, daydreams, wonderments, and frustrations with a 25 lb. bag of clay! I had long waited for the time when my teaching career would subside enough to allow a re-discovery of easel, canvas and brushes. Never had I thought that clay would be the medium to mesmerize my spirit so completely.
